GMS Ashgabat

The Turkmenistan Ground Mission Segment Project is a high-security satellite ground station and monitoring facility designed for the State of Turkmenistan to receive, process, and analyze satellite-derived data. The primary planning challenge was to accommodate Ministry of Defence and military personnel within the same facility while maintaining independent and controlled circulation systems. The operational requirements of the two user groups were carefully integrated around a shared technical infrastructure, while preserving the separation and security of their respective working environments. Conceived as a critical government facility, the architectural and technical design was developed as an integrated response to the requirements of physical security, controlled access, operational continuity, and resilience against external threats.
