Haiti Social Housing — Morne à Cabrit

Developed in response to the housing crisis following the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake, the project is a low-cost social housing development comprising three residential neighborhoods, designed for communities that had continued to live in temporary shelters after the disaster. Planned as part of the Venezuelan Government’s aid initiative for Haiti, the project aimed to establish a rapid, economical and feasible housing model while providing permanent living environments for earthquake-affected communities. Beyond the individual housing units, the masterplan was conceived to create an integrated residential environment capable of supporting everyday life and social interaction at the neighborhood scale.
